The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Winfield Pirates (Winfield, AL) and the host Marion County Red Raiders (Guin, AL), observed Winfield's softball team prevail over Marion County by a tally of 16-1.
The Pirates (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Gordo (Gordo, AL). The Green Wave go into the non-league bout with a 7-4 record. In their last bout, Gordo knocked off South Lamar (Millport, AL), 7-0, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Red Raiders clash with the Berry Wildcats (Berry, AL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 1. Marion County will attempt to advance on its 1-7 season record.
