The Sumner Cowboys triumphed over the host Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets softball squad by a count of 22-7 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Cowboys meet the Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA) in a 2A District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, March 18. Sumner will attempt to upgrade on its 14-1 season record.
The Yellowjackets (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Salmen (Slidell, LA). The Spartans enter the non-league challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Salmen overcame McDonogh 35 (New Orleans, LA), 21-0, in a non-league challenge.
