The Patterson Lumberjacks triumphed over the host Westgate Tigers softball squad by a count of 17-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Lumberjacks play the St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA) in a 3A District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, March 18. Patterson will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 10-2 league loss to Berwick (Berwick, LA).

The Tigers (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside (Lafayette, LA). The Vikings enter the 4A District 4 challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Northside was routed by Elizabeth (Elizabeth, LA), 16-12, in a non-league bout.
