Pennsylvania High School Softball - Union Area bounces Riverside

March 17, 2025: Ellwood City, PA 16117

The Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) softball routed the host Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA), 13-1 in Monday's non-league outing.

The Scotties now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilmington for a non-league outing on Thursday, March 20. Union Area will encounter a Greyhounds team coming off a 10-3 non-league win over Jamestown (Jamestown, PA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Riverside moves to 0-1 on the season. The Panthers host Freedom Area (Freedom, PA) to encounter the Bulldogs in a WPIAL 2A 1 outing on Monday, March 31. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 0-2.
