Illinois High School Softball - Plainfield Central bounces Metea Valley

May 2, 2026: Plainfield, IL 60544

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL) and the visiting Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL), observed Plainfield Central's softball team prevail over Metea Valley by a tally of 12-2.

The Wildcats (15-8) will now prepare for their bout against Joliet Central (Joliet, IL). The Steelmen go into the Suburban Prairie - South bout with a 4-18 record. In their last bout, Joliet Central was routed by Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL), 22-10, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Naperville Central Redhawks (Naperville, IL) in a DuPage Valley bout, on Monday, May 4. Metea Valley will attempt to advance on its 5-16 season record. The Redhawks go into the bout with a 15-8 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Lockport (Lockport, IL).
