In Thursday's non-league contest, the Buena Colts (Sierra Vista, AZ) softball team overwhelmed the host Rio Rico Hawks (Rio Rico, AZ), by a margin of 12-3.

With the triumph, Buena moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Colts host Mountain View (Tucson, AZ) to play the Mountain Lions in a non-league contest on Friday, March 19. The Mountain Lions come into the contest with a record of 2-0. Mountain View won 4-1 in their recent league contest against Marana (Tucson, AZ)

In their next game, the Hawks play the Desert View Jaguars (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, March 19. Rio Rico will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Jaguars come into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 13-10 non-league loss to Rincon/University (Tucson, AZ).
