The Oceanside Pirates held off the visiting Kearny Komets volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Friday's non-league test.
The Pirates now have a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mission Vista for a Valley test on Wednesday, March 23. Oceanside will confront a team coming off a 3-0 league win over Valley Center (Valley Center, CA). The record now stands at 14-12.
The Komets (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Victory Christian Academy (Chula Vista, CA). The Knights enter the non-league test with a 3-14 record. In their last test, Victory Christian Academy held off Canyon Hills (San Diego, CA), 3-1, in a non-league test.
