The Hoover Buccaneers routed the visiting John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers softball squad by a count of 7-2 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Buccaneers (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Spain Park (Hoover, AL). The Jaguars go into the non-league battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Spain Park nudged Hamilton (Hamilton, AL), 16-3, in a non-league battle.
The Cavaliers now sport a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Moody for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 19. John Carroll Catholic will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 18-3 non-league loss to Thompson (Alabaster, AL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-3.
