The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Albany Hornets (Albany, LA) and the host False River Gators (New Roads, LA), saw Albany's softball squad achieve victory over False River by a count of 17-0.
The Hornets now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Loranger for a 3A District 8 match on Tuesday, March 22.
With the loss, False River falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Gators host Central Private (Baker, LA) to face the Redhawks in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 22. The Redhawks enter the match with a record of 2-6.
