The Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones (Elizabethton, TN) softball routed the visiting Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN), 14-4 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Fighting Cyclones (4-0) will now prepare for their bout against Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN). The Patriots go into the 3A District 1 bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Sullivan East was routed by Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN), 13-3, in a non-league bout.

The Grizzlies now possess a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cocke County for a 3A District 2 contest on Monday, March 21. Grainger will play a Fighting Cocks team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Westmoreland (Westmoreland, TN). The Fighting Cocks record now stands at 1-2.
