The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Sterlington Panthers (Sterlington, LA) and the visiting Oak Grove Tigers (Oak Grove, LA), saw Sterlington's softball squad nip Oak Grove by a count of 10-9.
The Panthers now sport a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Monroe for a non-league match on Monday, March 21. Sterlington will face a Rebels squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Holden (Holden, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 15-1.
With the loss, Oak Grove falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to River Oaks (Monroe, LA) to face the Mustangs in a match on Tuesday, March 22. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 1-3.
