The Ariton Purple Cats baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Opelika Bulldogs to 1 in the Purple Cats non-league victory on Saturday.

The Purple Cats (10-5) will now prepare for their match against Marbury (Marbury, AL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 2-6 record. In their last match, Marbury was overwhelmed by Chilton County (Clanton, AL), 3-0, in a non-league match.

The Bulldogs (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Collierville (Collierville, TN). The Dragons go into the non-league match with a 5-1 record.
