In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Orting Cardinals baseball team scored a tight 7-5 victory over the Toppenish Wildcats.
The Cardinals (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Washington (Tacoma, WA). The Patriots come into the 2A South Puget Sound challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Washington by Eatonville (Eatonville, WA), 9-8, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Toppenish falls to 0-1 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Grandview (Grandview, WA) to encounter the Greyhounds in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a record of 4-1.
