In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Monte Vista Monarchs volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Bayfront Charter Sharks.

The Monarchs (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA). The Matadors come into the non-league battle with a 4-9 record. In their last battle, Mount Miguel nudged Lincoln (San Diego, CA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Sharks clash with the Calexico Bulldogs (Calexico, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 18. Bayfront Charter will attempt to advance on its 6-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a 7-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over High Tech Mesa (San Diego, CA).
