The Rio Mesa Spartans held off the host Hueneme Vikings volleyball team by a score of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Spartans now have a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oxnard for a Channel test on Tuesday, March 21. Rio Mesa will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-0 league win over Ventura (Ventura, CA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-13.
The Vikings (1-4) will now prepare for their test against St. Bonaventure (Ventura, CA). The Seraphs enter the non-league test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, St. Bonaventure held off Providence (Burbank, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
