Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA), 19-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Comets now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lord Botetourt for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 18.

With the loss, Northside falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Glenvar (Salem, VA) to battle the Highlanders in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24. The Highlanders enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
