The Altamont Longhorns softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Cottonwood Colts to 3 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Altamont moves its record to 1-7 on the year. The Longhorns host Rowland Hall (Salt Lake City, UT) to play the Winged Lions in a 2A game on Tuesday, March 21. The Winged Lions come into the game with a record of 0-1. Rowland Hall lost 10-0 in their recent non-league game against Juan Diego Catholic (Draper, UT)
In their next game, the Colts play the Uintah Utes (Vernal, UT) in a 5A Region 7 game, on Tuesday, March 21. Cottonwood will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Utes come into the game with a 2-2 record after their 11-5 non-league loss to Skyridge (Lehi, UT).
