Artesia Pioneers (Lakewood, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Kaiser Cats (Fontana, CA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Pioneers now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Pioneer for a 605 challenge on Tuesday, March 21.

With the loss, Kaiser falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Cats travel to Carter (Rialto, CA) to face the Lions in a Sunkist challenge on Monday, March 27. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 3-9. Carter lost 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Summit (Fontana, CA)
