Maricopa Rams (Maricopa, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Buckeye Hawks (Buckeye, AZ), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boulder Creek for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 18. Maricopa will battle a Jaguars squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Desert Edge (Goodyear, AZ). The Jaguars record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Buckeye falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Hawks host Kofa (Yuma, AZ) to battle the Kings in a 5A Central Valley challenge on Monday, March 20. The Kings enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Kofa won 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against San Luis (San Luis, AZ)
