Pen Argyl Green Knights (Pen Argyl, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers (East Stroudsburg, PA), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Green Knights now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Bangor for a Colonial - East challenge on Saturday, April 1.
With the loss, East Stroudsburg South falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to William Allen (Allentown, PA) to clash with the Canaries in a Eastern Pennsylvania Conference game on Monday, March 20. The Canaries come into the game with a record of 0-0.
