In Saturday's non-league contest, the Smiths Station Panthers (Smiths, AL) softball team held off the visiting Jasper Vikings (Jasper, AL), by a margin of 1-0.
With the triumph, Smiths Station moves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Panthers host Central (Phenix City, AL) to play the Red Devils in a 7A Area 4 contest on Tuesday, April 4. The Red Devils come into the contest with a record of 13-4.
