Kennedy Cougars (Granada Hills, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host San Fernando for a Valley Mission challenge on Tuesday, March 21. Kennedy will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Arleta (Arleta, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Venice falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Gondoliers travel to Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA) to battle the Dolphins in a Western challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Dolphins enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Palisades won 18-1 in their recent league challenge against Los Angeles CES (Los Angeles, CA)
