Robertson Cardinals (Las Vegas, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Pojoaque Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 20. Robertson will face a Elks/Elkettes squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Capital (Santa Fe, NM). The Elks/Elkettes record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Los Lunas falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Sandia (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Matadors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Matadors enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Sandia lost 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM)
