In Saturday's non-league contest, the Shadle Park Highlanders (Spokane, WA) softball team held off the visiting Mt. Spokane Wildcats (Mead, WA), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, Shadle Park moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Highlanders travel to Othello (Othello, WA) to play the Huskies in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 21. The Huskies come into the contest with a record of 1-0. Othello won 15-5 in their recent league contest against Walla Walla (Walla Walla, WA)
In their next game, the Wildcats play the Cheney Blackhawks (Cheney, WA) in a 2A/3A/4A Greater Spokane contest, on Monday, March 20. Mt. Spokane will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
