Southridge Suns (Kennewick, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Post Falls Trojans (Post Falls, ID), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Suns now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richland for a 3A/4A Mid-Columbia challenge on Tuesday, March 21. Southridge will face a Bombers squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Mead (Spokane, WA). The Bombers record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Post Falls falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Moscow (Moscow, ID) to face the Bears in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Moscow won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Timberlake (Spirit Lake, ID)
