Science Hill Hilltoppers (Johnson City, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Unaka Rangers (Elizabethton, TN), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hilltoppers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Montverde Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24. Science Hill will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Trinity Catholic (Ocala, FL). The Eagles record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Unaka falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN) to battle the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 18. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Sullivan East lost 14-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Gate City (Gate City, VA)
