In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Tupelo Golden Wave softball team scored a close 10-5 win over the Southaven Chargers.
Coming up next, the Golden Wave battle the Grenada Chargers (Grenada, MS) in a 6A Region 1 outing, on Thursday, March 23. Tupelo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Chargers enter the outing with a 4-6 record after their 14-3 non-league loss to Senatobia (Senatobia, MS).
The Chargers (4-8) will now prepare for their outing against East Union (Blue Springs, MS). The Urchins enter the non-league outing with a 6-0 record. In their last outing, East Union tipped Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS), 10-0, in a non-league outing.
