The Caldwell Parish Spartans baseball team (Columbia, LA), was overwhelmed 8-2 in Monday's non-league outing with the host West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA)

The Chiefs now hold a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Monroe for a 5A District 2 outing on Thursday, March 21. West Ouachita will confront a Rebels team coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Byrd (Shreveport, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 15-6.

Next, the Spartans confront the Bolton Bears (Alexandria, LA) in a 3A District 2 outing, on Tuesday, March 19. Caldwell Parish will attempt to advance on its 12-4 season record. The Bears go into the outing with a 0-9 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Vidalia (Vidalia, LA).
