Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 26. Croatan will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Rams enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 2-1 league win over South Central (Winterville, NC).

The Bears now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Northside - Jacksonville for a Big East 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 19. New Bern will confront a Monarchs team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Monarchs record now stands at 1-3.
