North Carolina High School Softball - Anson felled by North Stanly

In Monday's non-league outing, the host North Stanly Comets softball team scored a nice 11-1 win over the Anson Bearcats.

Coming up next, the Comets encounter the Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, March 20. North Stanly will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record. The Timberwolves enter the outing with a 6-2 record after their 12-4 league loss to North Davidson (Lexington, NC).

The Bearcats (1-7) will now prepare for their outing against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Colts enter the Rocky River 2A/3A outing with a 7-0 record. In their last outing, West Stanly prevailed over Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 19-0, in a league outing.
