In Monday's non-league contest, the Hahnville Tigers (Boutte, LA) softball team overwhelmed the host Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA), by a margin of 14-8.

With the triumph, Hahnville moves its record to 12-8 on the year. The Tigers host Bourgeois (Gray, LA) to play the Braves in a 5A District 7 contest on Tuesday, March 19. The Braves come into the contest with a record of 9-6. Bourgeois won 18-0 in their recent league contest against East St. John (Reserve, LA)

In their next game, the Mustangs play the South Terrebonne Gators (Bourg, LA) in a 4A District 7 contest, on Tuesday, March 19. Assumption will attempt to move on its 13-6 season record. The Gators come into the contest with a 3-11 record after their 13-3 non-league loss to Houma Christian (Houma, LA).
