Santiam Christian Eagles (Corvallis, OR) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clatskanie Tigers (Clatskanie, OR), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Creswell for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 20.

With the loss, Clatskanie falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Valley Catholic (Beaverton, OR) to face the Valiants in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Valiants enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
