The crowd at Monday's league match between the Clay County Panthers (Clay, WV) and the visiting Hannan Wildcats (Ashton, WV), saw Clay County's softball squad achieve victory over Hannan by a count of 25-0.

The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Roane County for a Little Kanawha match on Thursday, March 21. Clay County will face a Raiders squad coming off a 8-0 league win over Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Hannan falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Fairview (Ashland, KY) to face the Eagles in a District 64 match on Saturday, March 23. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 2-0.
