Cottonwood Colts (Salt Lake City, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Highland Rams (Salt Lake City, UT), 15-14 in a non-league challenge.

The Colts now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Jordan for a 4A Region 10 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Cottonwood will battle a Beetdiggers squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Murray (Murray, UT). The Beetdiggers record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Highland falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Rams host West (Salt Lake City, UT) to battle the Panthers in a 5A Region 6 challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
