North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakewood for a Carolina 1A challenge on Thursday, March 21. North Duplin will battle a Leopards squad coming off a 10-2 league loss to Union (Rose Hill, NC). The Leopards record now stands at 1-8.

With the loss, East Duplin falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Kinston (Kinston, NC) to battle the Vikings in a East Central 2A challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Kinston lost 21-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Beddingfield (Wilson, NC)
