Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Union Grove Christian Patriots (Lexington, NC), 14-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Charlotte Latin for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. Gaston Christian will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Union Grove Christian falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Oak Level Baptist Academy (Stokesdale, NC) to battle the Conquerors in a NCCSA challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Conquerors enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Oak Level Baptist Academy won 5-3 in their recent league challenge against Forsyth Home Educators (Winston-Salem, NC)
