Oakdale Warriors (Oakdale, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hicks Pirates (Leesville, LA), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holy Savior Menard for a 2A District 4 game on Tuesday, March 19. Oakdale will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 10-6 non-league win over Jena (Jena, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-11.

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Anacoco Indians (Anacoco, LA) in a B District 4 game, on Tuesday, March 19. Hicks will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Indians come into the game with a 10-7 record after their 12-2 non-league win over South Beauregard (Longville, LA).
