Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their baseball team get by the host Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 1-0 in a non-league battle.

The Lions (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Philip Simmons (Charleston, SC). The Iron Horses enter the non-league battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Philip Simmons held off St. John's (John's Island, SC), 7-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Landsharks face the Lucy Beckham Bengals (Mt. Pleasant, SC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, March 21. Oceanside Collegiate Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Bengals enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC).
