The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats (Franklin, KY) baseball trounced the host Portland Panthers (Portland, TN), 20-5 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Butler County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 20. Franklin-Simpson will clash with a Bears team coming off a 14-2 non-league win over Russellville (Russellville, KY). The Bears record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Portland drops to 3-7 on the year. The Panthers host Sycamore (Pleasant View, TN) to clash with the War Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 20. The War Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Sycamore lost 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against White House (White House, TN)
