Arkansas High School Baseball - Poyen edges Magnet Cove

The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Poyen Indians (Poyen, AR) and the visiting Magnet Cove Panthers (Malvern, AR), saw Poyen's baseball team gain a win over Magnet Cove by a tally of 14-12.

The Indians (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Hampton (Hampton, AR). The Bulldogs enter the 2A Region 8 battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Hampton by Fordyce (Fordyce, AR), 12-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Panthers face the Woodlawn Bears (Rison, AR) in a 2A Region 8 battle, on Tuesday, March 18. Magnet Cove will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Bears enter the battle with a 7-2 record after their 9-0 non-league win over Glen Rose (Malvern, AR).
