The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) and the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), observed Ashe County's softball team get by Alexander Central by a final score of 5-4.

The Huskies (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers go into the non-league bout with a 0-0 record.
