The Cairo Syrupmakers soccer squad scored 10 points and held the host Georgia Christian Generals to 0 in the Syrupmakers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Syrupmakers now hold a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Bainbridge for a 3A Area 1 bout on Thursday, March 20. Cairo will play a Bearcats squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Peach County (Fort Valley, GA). The Bearcats record now stands at 6-3.
With the loss, Georgia Christian moves to 0-5 on the year. The Generals host Brookwood (Thomasville, GA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, March 20. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Brookwood won 8-0 in their recent non-league bout against Georgia Christian (Valdosta, GA)
