Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA) and the visiting East Jackson Eagles (Commerce, GA), saw Franklin County's soccer squad hold off East Jackson by a score of 2-1.

The Lions (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA). The Wolverines enter the 2A Area 8 battle with a 1-6 record. In their last battle, Prince Avenue Christian was edged by Towns County (Hiawassee, GA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Eagles confront the Hebron Christian Lions (Dacula, GA) in a 2A Area 8 battle, on Tuesday, March 25. East Jackson will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 11-0 record after their 10-0 non-league win over George Walton Academy (Monroe, GA).
