North Carolina High School Softball - Ardrey Kell sneaks past Cuthbertson

March 18, 2026: Charlotte, NC 28277

The Ardrey Kell Knights softball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Cuthbertson Cavaliers to 6 in the Knights non-league win on Wednesday.

The Knights now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host East Mecklenburg for a Southwestern 7A/8A challenge on Friday, March 20. Ardrey Kell will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 4-3.

The Cavaliers (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks go into the Southern Carolina 6A/7A challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Marvin Ridge was nudged by Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC), 5-0, in a non-league challenge.
