California High School Softball - Berkeley sneaks past Encinal

The Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA) softball nipped the visiting Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA), 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Eden for a outing on Friday, March 20. Berkeley will clash with a Monarchs team coming off a 20-10 league win over San Lorenzo (San Lorenzo, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 5-2.

In their next game, the Jets clash with the Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA) in a West Alameda County - Foothill bout, on Friday, March 20. Encinal will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 14-7 non-league win over James Logan (Union City, CA).
