North Carolina High School Softball - Eastern Guilford bounces Dudley

March 18, 2026: Greensboro, NC 27401

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Eastern Guilford Wildcats (Gibsonville, NC) and the host Dudley Panthers (Greensboro, NC), observed Eastern Guilford's softball team notch a victory over Dudley by a final score of 24-1.

The Wildcats (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Falcons go into the TAAC Six 5A/6A bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Southeast Guilford was routed by Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 19-3, in a non-league game.

The Panthers now hold a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Grimsley for a Metro 6A/7A game on Friday, March 20. Dudley will face a Whirlies squad coming off a 24-14 non-league win over Asheboro (Asheboro, NC). The Whirlies record now stands at 2-5.
