The Captain Shreve Gators baseball team (Shreveport, LA), was overwhelmed 8-1 in Saturday's non-league outing with the host West Monroe Rebels (West Monroe, LA)

The Rebels now hold a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Neville for a non-league test on Monday, March 21. West Monroe will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over West Ouachita (West Monroe, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 12-3.

With the defeat, Captain Shreve falls to 4-2 on the season. The Gators host Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA) to battle the Chiefs in a 5A District 1 test on Tuesday, March 22. The Chiefs come into the test with a record of 6-4. Natchitoches Central won 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Florien (Florien, LA)
