Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Montrose Indians (Montrose, CO) and the visiting Pagosa Springs Pirates (Pagosa Springs, CO), saw Montrose's baseball squad knock off Pagosa Springs by a count of 17-2.

Coming up next, the Indians play the Palisade Bulldogs (Palisade, CO) in a 4A Western Slope battle, on Thursday, March 24. Montrose will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 5-1 record after their 19-0 league win over Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO).

The Pirates now possess a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bloomfield for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 29.
