The Avon Lake Shoremen lacrosse team scored 16 points and held the visiting Shaker Heights Red Raiders to 6 in the Shoremen league win on Saturday.
The Shoremen (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Hoover (North Canton, OH). The Vikings go into the Region 2 match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Hoover prevailed over Brecksville-Broadview Heights (Broadview Heights, OH), 15-4, in a non-league match.
The Red Raiders (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Canfield (Canfield, OH). The Cardinals go into the non-league match with a 0-0 record.
