Oxnard Yellowjackets (Oxnard, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Highland Bulldogs (Palmdale, CA), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buena for a challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Oxnard will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Highland falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Lancaster (Lancaster, CA) to face the Eagles in a challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Lancaster lost 9-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Highland (Palmdale, CA)
